THE ROLE OF AN ARCHITECT
At CDG, we believe architects can act in three roles, depending on the needs of our clients.
Some clients need a leader. In working with these clients we fulfill a leadership role and guide the client through the design and construction process.
Other clients want a partner. By becoming part of their team, we add expertise and confidence.
The final type of client wants a facilitator. In this role we organize and clarify the various needs of different users and assist the facilities staff or building committee in planning and constructing a building better than the staff would have done by themselves.
In all roles, we provide participatory planning, a process where the emphasis is first on listening, then on leading and finally on planning a project the truly reflects the needs of the client.
Three roles-one firm.
