dublin fire station
PROJECT INFORMATION
18,000 SQUARE FEET OF NEW CONSTRUCTION
LOCATION: DUBLIN, MARYLAND
OWNER: DARLINGTON FIRE COMPANY
BUILDER: GRUBB CONTRACTORS
COMPLETION STATUS: COMPLETE
The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company asked us to design a new six bay fire station with living space for their members. This program would include a large shared kitchen/living area, bunk rooms, a dispatch room, and offices. The garage consisted of an area for not only the fire engines, but space for EMT, a substantial gear room, and an expansive mezzanine (that was later changed into a game room).
Participatory planning was completely implemented throughout the entirety of this design project, and was a cooperative effort between CDG and the owners. This ensured the space would meet their needs.
